First Meeting of Administrative Committee of 27th Parliament of Montenegro held

The Committee launched the procedure for establishing candidate lists for chairperson and members of standing working bodies of the Parliament of Montenegro

At its First Meeting held today, the Administrative Committee of the 27th Parliament of Montenegro postponed the election of deputy chairpersons of the Committee because the parliamentary opposition failed to submit their nominations.

The Administrative Committee determined the number of members in standing  working bodies of the 27th Parliament of Montenegro and launched the procedure for establishing candidate lists for chairperson and members of standing working bodies by issuing an invitation to MP groups to submit their nominations by 20 November 2020.

Pursuant to the Law on Public Sector Salaries and other standing regulations, the Committee adopted the following:
- decisions on the termination of the right to earnings of members of the 26th Parliament of Montenegro;
- decisions on the right to compensation following the termination of office of members of the 26th Parliament of Montenegro, in line with their requests;
- decisions on the right to earnings of members of the 27th Parliament of Montenegro who decided to exercise their office exclusively;
- decisions on the difference in earnings of members of the 27th Parliament of Montenegro, in line with their requests;
- decisions on the termination of office and the termination of the right to earnings of advisors to the President and vice presidents of the 26th Parliament of Montenegro, and
- decisions on the right to compensation following the termination of office of advisors to the President and vice presidents of the 26th Parliament of Montenegro, in line with the requests of previous advisors;

In line with proposals by Mr Aleksa Bečić, President of the Parliament of Montenegro, the Committee appointed Mr Neven Gošović, law graduate, and Mr Aleksandar Klarić, graduate of politicology for international relations, as advisors to the President of the Parliament of Montenegro.

The Committee members agreed to schedule a special sitting with regard to exercising responsibilities stemming from the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament of Montenegro, its method of work, and varying views of MP groups regarding the role and function of the Administrative Committee.
