The interlocutors emphasised that Montenegro and the Czech Republic had excellent interstate relations and meaningful cooperation, and that regular political and work contacts represented confirmation of a strong partnership and mutual determination for further strengthening of the overall cooperation.
President Brajović stressed the importance of improving parliamentary cooperation at all levels, both in the committees and in the friendship group, as well as exchanging experiences regarding the process of Euro-Atlantic and European integration, and reminded of the recent visit of the delegation of the Senate of the Czech Republic, which made a significant contribution to its further strengthening. In this context, he pointed out that the Montenegro - Czech Republic parliamentary friendship group was filled in June 2017 with new members from among the MPs of the 26th Parliament.
The President of the Parliament thanked the Czech Republic for continuous and strong support to the Euro-Atlantic integration of Montenegro, as well as for particularly important expert support to our country in the process of accession to the European Union, through the instruments Taiex and Twining. He stressed that Montenegro's admission to NATO was the greatest political achievement since the restoration of statehood, the strongest long-term guarantee of the country's security, a prerequisite for unhindered economic development and a strong wind back to our integration process into the European Union.
President Brajović stressed that Ambassador Hlavsová has significantly contributed to strengthening relations and enhancing cooperation between Montenegro and the Czech Republic, and wished her a lot of success in further work.
The interlocutors expressed confidence that successful cooperation between Montenegro and the Czech Republic would be continued and improved in many areas, through the implementation of concrete projects.
