The Parliament of Montenegro and the Committee on International Relations and Emigrants are organising the "Conference of Young Parliamentarians of the European Union and the Western Balkans", which will be held in the Grand Hall of the Parliament of Montenegro on Monday and Tuesday, 15 and 16 April 2019.
The Conference will be opened by the President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr Ivan Brajović, at 10:30 on Monday, with the attendance at the opening by the President of the Government of Montenegro, Mr Duško Marković.
The President of the Parliament will have separate meetings on Monday with part of the delegations, participants of the Conference.
Bearing in mind the importance of the role of young politicians in creating the future of our societies, the Parliament of Montenegro has launched a dialogue among young MPs of the Member States of the European Union and the Western Balkans.
National parliaments from 20 countries of the European Union and the Western Balkans will be represented by delegations composed of two MPs of the ruling majority and the opposition each, of age limit - 40 years.
During three separate sessions of the Conference, young parliamentarians will discuss the topics of "Western Balkans enlargement perspective after the EP elections 2019", "The role of the national parliaments in the Berlin process" and "Education as a Tool for Development".
At the end of the Conference that will be presided over by the Chairperson of the Committee on International Relations and Emigrants, Mr Andrija Nikolić, young parliamentarians will have the opportunity to discuss the idea of establishing the "Network of Young Parliamentarians of the EU and the Western Balkan Countries".
